We've taken everything you loved about the Original SLX herb grinder and made it even better. Featuring a host of new features, from a new coating application to redesigned screens and teeth, now there's even more to love about SLX.

Incorporating feedback from the community, we've applied our proprietary nano-ceramic coating to every surface - inside and outside. Our coating reduces friction and resin build up, delivering an effortless grind every time. It's FDA certified and completely inert - we never use Teflon or other toxic chemicals. Even after months of use, a SLX will keep turning just like the day you got it.

We've re-designed the screen stage to make your SLX grinder easier to use and more efficient. By eliminating the screen's threads, it lifts out without unscrewing - meaning you don't bang pollen back into the screen every time you empty your grinder.

SLX's uniquely shaped teeth result in an airy grind that's easier to roll and burns smoother in glass. It doesn't clump or run as frequently as herbs cut with diamond shaped teeth. But the new SLX is just as easy to grind with as always - a few turns and you're ready to go.

We listened to your requests for a smaller SLX - now you can get a travel-friendly version of the perfect grinder to take on adventures. Available in both 2.4" standard size and 2.0" pocket size. Both models are 15% shorter than traditional grinders, while maintaining a deep collection chamber - another benefit of our redesigned screen stage.

The Coating

We developed our coating for one reason: To defeat stuck grinders once and for all.

Our coating is super low friction, so a SLX turns just as easily in 6 months as it did the day you got it. It repels even the stickiest resin buildup, keeping your grinder looking and spinning like new no matter how hard you punish it. Never sticks, never needs cleaning. What more could you want?

What is our coating made from?

Our coating is a proprietary ceramic, developed from components used to reduce friction on industrial blades and cutting tools. It will never chip, flake, or burn. That wouldn't be cool, would it?

The exceptional non-stick capabilities come from a ceramic compound - not PTFE, Teflon, or any other carcinogenic chemicals. Bonded at the molecular level with the aluminum our grinders are machined from, it's as strong as steel and slick as grease.

Our coating contains zero Teflon or PTFE.

It’s completely inert, and 100% FDA certified for food contact.

Every SLX herb grinder is machined from 7075 aluminum, the alloy of choice for precision applications - from high performance jet aircraft to Space-X rockets. With exceptional strength, perfect balance, and unparalleled durability, your SLX grinder will last a lifetime and then some.

Each piece of your SLX non-stick herb grinder is machined to the thousandth of an inch - providing the perfection you deserve and we demand. The result? No more fumbling to connect stages. No imperfections that catch and slow you down. Just smooth threads and easy turning.

More teeth than the Loch Ness Monster.

With 55 razor-sharp teeth in the standard size, and 27 in the pocket size, even a velociraptor would be hard pressed to keep pace with SLX shredding power. A couple of turns is all it takes – even tough, stemmy herbs don't stand a chance against the smoothest operator in town.

Our ceramic coating comes in 7 fantastic colors - charcoal grey, silver metallic, champaign gold and black metallic (the classic 4), yellow, leaf green, and purple haze - all lightly metallic.

Slab cuts and serrations for comfort and traction.

Every SLX non-stick herb grinder features comfortable slab cuts and gentle serrations on the top and bottom. Got sweaty hands? Not a problem. Our grips provide optimal leverage even if you find yourself grinding on a row boat in a hurricane (note - we don't recommend using your SLX in this situation. Find shelter, preferably on high ground, use your SLX to prepare some celebration).

Tech Spec

Non-Stick Ceramic Coating SLX Version 2.0 is coated inside and out with our proprietary non-stick ceramic. Every lip, every tooth - even the pollen chamber. It never sticks, and it doesn’t need cleaning. Our coating is bonded with the aluminum at the molecular level, ensuring durability, is 100% non-toxic, FDA approved, and will not burn or release any harmful chemicals.

ZERO Teflon® or PTFE Teflon® (PTFE) fumes are so toxic when inhaled that Dupont® had to ban its use in the tobacco industry. Even if we could use PTFE, we wouldn't - PTFE coatings are plastic based and not durable enough for serious use. You deserve the best when you buy a SLX herb grinder, and Teflon® doesn’t cut it.

Aerospace-Grade Aluminum Machined out of 7075 T6 aluminum to prevent cross-threading, bent and broken teeth, or other damage. Most grinders are made from weaker 6 series aluminum. 7 series is more expensive to machine, but it ensures your SLX herb grinder will last a lifetime.

Premium Screens SLX herb grinders feature drum tight stainless steel screens with a fine micron size - ensuring only pollen gets filtered, not pieces of herb. Perfect for pressing. And they lift out without threads!

2 Sizes Available in both 2 inch (50.8mm) pocket-size and 2.5 inch (62mm) home-size. But both are 20% shorter than standard models due to our unique screen stage, so either size is easy to slip into your pocket or purse.

Caring & Cleaning

With some light care and occasional maintenance, your SLX with last a lifetime.

Cleaning the cutting area: While your SLX won’t generally need cleaning, if your herbs have an exceptionally high moisture content (greater than 12%) or you use it an extraordinary amount, you may see some light buildup. To remove material that does accumulate:

Tap the grinder lightly on a solid surface (we recommend doing this over a piece of paper so you can collect everything that comes out).

Brush out anything that remains with a toothbrush or other soft brush. Everything will slip right out.

Cleaning the exterior: If any dirt builds up on the outside of your SLX, you can use a soft cloth with soap and water to wipe it away.

Lubrication: Your SLX is completed coated in our low-friction non-stick ceramic, and will not get stuck under normal use. However, if your herbs are exceptionally moist, you may experience some slight buildup around the lips. This can generally be brushed right off using the techniques above, but if all else fails we recommend refined hemp seed oil (available online from Amazon). This will both lubricate your grinder and cause any buildup to be easily wiped away with a paper towel or rag.

Use of Solvents: Our ceramic is highly durable, and it’s safe to use rubbing alcohol or acetone on the coating without fear of damaging it. However, harsh solvents may change the color of the logo, so proceed with caution. We will not replace units that have experienced a change in logo color or brightness.

!!! NEVER USE A METAL TOOL TO SCRAPE YOUR GRINDER !!!

With enough force it’s possible to dislodge the coating. While the coating is non-toxic and won’t burn, scratches will impede the function of your grinder. If you want to scrape the teeth to remove any of that potent residue, we recommend a toothpick as the optimal tool.
