Himalayan Crystal Salt Lamps are believed to create negatively charged ions in the air. This is a good thing because modern day pollution and electrical equipment creates positive ions in the air. The positive ions are potentially harmful to us and cause air quality in areas affected to deteriorate. By using a Salt Lamp you replace the negatively charged ions in the air with positive charged ions which help us to avoid the alleged physical and mental harm that the ‘electrical smog’ creates.

These salt lamps are intrended for indoor use only. They are for decorative use and should not be left on if unattended for long periods. keep the lamp away from excessive moisture or humidity.

Clean with a damp cloth only, do not apply cleaning products or immerse in water.

The lamp ight exhibit "sweating" on the surface - moisture is absorbed from the atmosphere by the salt and driven off agian by the warmth of the bulb - a normal process that drives the air purification effect of the lamp. Please note that moisture from the lamp may mark the surface the lamp is resting on.

Please note: Due to the hygroscopic properties of salt, Himalayan Salt Lamps and candle holders absorb moisture from the air.

If your lamp is sweating or leaking water this is generally due to being switched for extended periods, especially in humid conditions. To remedy, leave the lamp in strong sunlight for 4-5 hours and brush off any excess crystals or wipe gently with a soft dry cloth.

If you dont use this Himalayan Salt Lamp for extended periods of time (E.G. holidays), disconnect the cable and remove it from the lamp.

In humid conditions we recommend placing your lamp on to a small tray or dish in case it pools with water.
